Travel and Adventure Films From Around the World

We call our films travelogues. In the tradition of ancient storytelling, the filmmakers narrate each show live from the stage. You'll hear his or her travel experiences presented in a lively yet intimate manner. The 2007-2008 series begins its span of the globe on October 10, 2007 as we cruise from Prague to Paris, and concludes on May 14, 2008 when we visit New Zealand. Other destinations this season are Vietnam, America’s Gulf Coast, Rio de Janero via the Queen Mary 2, and visits to Morocco and West Africa.

"2007-2008 marks World Cavalcade's 33nd year," series owner Alan T. Jones says. "Being a part of over three decades of bringing the images and stories from some of the most beautiful, intriguing and fascinating destinations in the world to Portland audiences is something I've thoroughly enjoyed."

World Cavalcade returns to the comforting confines of the historic Scottish Rite Center. Built in 1902, the center features an elegant auditorium which seats 600, yet still provides an ideal level of intimacy for the travelogue experience. Located in downtown Portland at 1512 SW Morrison, between SW 15th & SW 16th Avenues, the center is situated on the MAX Light Rail Line, and is within a half mile of some of Portland’s finest dining. The center is handicap accessible from street level. Click here to see a map.
